Accepted Answer

No: You cannot reshape the bony skull by pressing on it. The shape could be changed by a specialized team of surgeons who would cut it into individual plates and rearrange them into a more pleasing shape. The process is very risky surgery &amp; involves a lengthy stay in the intensive care unit.  There are a few places in the world that do such work. Get used to your head shape.

pain at base of skull on both sides sometimes goes away although there may still be a feeling of pressure just getting over a cold, can hurt coughing?

Neuritis: 20&#x27;s male with bilateral pain base of skull that increases w. Coughing might have occipital neuritis, chiari malformatiion or other problem.  A neurologist might be best specialist to diagnose and advise.

Some thots: You might be having jaw issues, "TMJ", and dentist can assess.  Neck problems could also cause pain in these areas.  An X ray could reveal answer.
