hi doc.
i have some white spots developing on my arms,on my back and in between my thighs.i went to the pharmacy and i was told that it could be skin fungus?

Could be so:  A lesion could be tested to determine if that is due to fungus. Could be vitiligo?

have a kind of fungus in patches on my body, sometimes more visible than other times, can look like big sun spots or a kind of ring. seems to be worse when i'm hot or sweating after excercise and then my skin feels itchy. how can i get rid of it?

See a dermatologist: Probably tinea versicolor. You can try a zinc pyrethrium or selenium sulfide shampoo which you apply to affected areas, then shower off in a few hours.

Hypopigmentation: White spots in sun exposed areas can be a form of chronic sun damage called idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis.  It is common on forearms and lower legs as small white dots.  No real treatment exists.  If this does not sound like what you have, see your doctor to check it out.

Sun Spots: Sun spots are spots on the skin that occur after sun exposure. Sun spots can be dark or white. White spots can have several causes, and they all share one thing in common, they prevent melanin from being produced in that specific area of the skin, and therefore, cannot alter its pigment. In other words, the skin cannot tan in those small areas.

White spots on skin: White or pale circles or circle like patches on the skin is most likely to be a fungal infection.  If it is wide spread you may need oral medication for this.

Difficult to say: With just the brief description it is hard to say for sure. There is a condition called "idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis" that is very common and completely benign which can present as you describe. However, to be sure you should have your primary care doctor have a look. You may need to be seen by a dermatologist but probably is good to start with your main doctor.

Maybe fungus?: "white spots" can certainly be a yeast infection in the skin but can be many other problems.  Dermasone is a steroid and can make any kind of infection worse.  If that occurs see your doctor.

Tinea corporis: This is typical for tinea corporis - a fungus - Usually responds nicely to antifungals - both oral and topical meds can work.

i been noticing white spots on my stomach and back, what can that be & would aloe vera gel help if it's a fungus?

It is most: Likely fungal.  Aloe vera will not help.  You need an antifungal cream such as lotrimin (clotrimazole).  Apply it daily for about 3 weeks.  It doesn't kill fungus but stops its growth until the skin grows it out.  If no improvement consider getting seen.
