i am experiencing skin rash over finger joints. i am not sure if its a rash but i have tiny raised bumps under the skin of my middle right finger and also less bumps on my index and ring finger. the bumps are red and white and very small. ?

ive go a raised red bump on my face.looks like a swollen pimple.redness has reduced but it has been almost 3 weeks.ive been applying hydro cortisone.on the same side i have a visible swollen gland below my jaw line.not feeling sick though.please help?

Exam needed: This may have been an inflamed/infected cyst or ingrown hair that has organized into a papule that no longer is inflamed. I recommend having a physician or dermatologist examine and advise you.

Ingrown hair: The bump is most likely an irritated or infected hair follicle.  Most likely not an STD.  However if more bumps arise then seek medical evaluation.

what is this raised red bump in the middle of my right calf?  its small and has been there for over a year. texture it pretty tough. does not itch.

Soft tissue growth: Most likely it is a benign soft tissue growth (tumor). Since it's been there for over a year without significant change goes against malignancy, but a benign tumor is very much possible. Biopsy may be able to provide definite answer, but consult with a physician is a must to move on with this.

my son has a soft red bump on his earlobe for at least a week. it doesn't hurt to touch, can barely be felt, but it is always red and slightly raised.

Mgt: If this is an isolated rash without other symptoms, it may be due to an insect bite. Application of 1 percent hydrocortisone topical cream twice a day for 3 days may help.  If it persists please see your PCP.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If it is a persistent issue it would be prudent to see a doctor.

Itchy bumps: could be tiny ingrown hairs.
Ues over the counter antibiotic ointment for a few days.  If no improvement get seen by your physician

Need diagnosis: A fungal infection comes to mind and thus a topical antifungal +/- steroid may be helpful  Best is to consult your doctor since the problem has been going on for so long.

Bed bugs?: Since you were vacationing and they were not on exposed skin it is possible that these are bed bug marks.  Without seeing the bumps it is difficult to say what they may be.

can dryness of skin or low humidiy cause red raised bumps (similar in look to many mosquito bites or hives)? can scratching dry areas cause this?

Yes: Yes you can get secondary eczema from dry skin.
