Unlikely but possibl: This is usually not a symptom of cancer except in the case of the paraneoplastic syndrome. This is a case where there are factors (caused by the cancer) that are in the body that affect the peripheral nerves. This can lead to a diffuse numbness in the extremities. Work-up by a neurologist can include testing of serum antigens and antibodies and nerve biopsy.

Unlikely: Could me a metabolic issue or something like ms.  Check with your doc.

Often both: Tumor does have higher metabolic rate than rest of the body. Tumor related inflammation often releases mediators that raises the metabolism of the rest of the body as well and depresses appetite.

what are the symptoms of bone cancer, from spread of prostate cancer. pain in lower body bone, or upper and lower body bone? what would be 1st sign?

Pain at the spot: Pain will ussually be at or close to the area where the metastasis is, especially if there is a fracture.  An exeception would be injury to a nerve that may cause pain distant to the site of injury (for example pain that shoots down the leg in lower spinal nerve damage). Note that patients with multiple sites of bone mets may not hurt the same or at all in each spot. Best to you.

Many causes!: Itching is a nonspecific symptom that is a feature of many problems, like dry skin/eczema, allergies, liver problems, and yes, even cancer. However, to sort through the huge list if possibilities you need to see your doctor, who can do a complete history and physical exam.

It varies: Advanced cancers lead to increasing impairment of mobility due to weakness, loss of weight or organ failure. Your doctor can help you more by checking the patient.And the reports of their burden of cancer. Anyone who is eating well and fully mobile, is not close to 'shuting down'.

No such thing: Yet. Not imaging, nor blood test. Best use of any of the above is based on clinical lead by history and direct exam. Yes hypersomnia or sleeping a lot is seen in advanced cancers and/or neurodegenerative diseases.

It is the body: Cancer is a disease due to the failure of immunosurveillance.

To put it simplistically, the body is like a huge assembly line and the quality control fails to reject the defective cells that are manufactured. There are several reasons as to why the defective cells are produced and research is still continuing on the causation. 
Cancer can be grown in lab animals but is not done so in humans.
