Augmentin : The clauvulenic acid is the culprit with the stomach and associated nausea and commonly diarrhea.  Headache is associated with Augmentin in less than 1 percent of patients.  Especially stomach problems will persist while you are taking the medication and should resolve when stoppin.

what to do if i am currently taking co-amoxiclav, and am taking microgynon.. should i use condoms or will my pill not be effected?

Only if you want to: Most commonly used antibiotics such as Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate)  (Amoxiclav) don't change the effectiveness of birth control pills.  If you are being treated for Tuberculosis or something exotic you might need to worry.   Best wishes!

Nothing: Should happen.  They are two different classes of antibiotics.   Though there is risk for getting antibiotic associated diarrhea and/or C. Difficile  colitis with these drugs.

: Mucinex (Guaifenesin) alone does not suppress cough, it is an expectorant (make the phlegm loose). Yes, you can take that if cough does not bother you much. If you want, you can buy Robitussin DM which has the same effects as Mucinex DM. Besides medications, you need to do deep breathing and cough to fight against the atelectasis ( take a deep breath, hold for a second or two then cough out).

Depends on dose: Amoxicillin and clauvulinic acid is dosed at 875 two times daily or 500 tid.

Yes: Taking antibiotics will often cause GI upset, resulting in decreased transit time.  This means you empty your stomach faster.  So while you are having cramps and possibly diarrhea, you may also feel hungry.
