Is there a question: here???  You are a bit YOUNG for Total  Hip Arthroplasty.  If this is what your Orthopedist is suggesting, I would obtain a second opinion. I would seek out a Hospital that does a lot of these surgeries!There is a Nationwide Program of CERTIFICATION in joint replacement surgery!

Your : Your description of color changes with position of the shoulder and head is consistent with thoracic outlet syndrome.  This occurs when nerves or blood vessels get pinched where they exit the neck into the armpit.  This is usually a separate phenomenon from the frozen shoulder.

Have your orthopaedic surgeon evaluate the neck and shoulder area for thoracic outlet syndrome.  There are physical exam findings that are helpful and sometimes imaging studies are needed.  Most patient respond well to therapy.  Rarely, some require surgery.

Therapy: You are probably referring to bone spurs off the acromion and/or the ac joint.  These spurs can irritate or rub on the rotator cuff causing an impingement syndrome.  Therapy plus nsaids are effective treatment in many cases.  Sometimes a subacromial steroid injection is needed.  If these fail then surgery is a good option to remove the spurs and evaluate the rotator cuff.

Ortho: See an orthopedic doctor. You will need an MRI and possibly further intervention. But you could also use a heating pad and try anti-inflammatory medications as well to see if it helps. Also stretching exercises easily found on the internet could help. Just look specifically for a physical therapy website for the stretching exercises.

6-8 weeks: Structurally, there is only mild weakening of the deltoid insertion where the bone is removed. Rotator cuff, if not repaired should be ready to rehab right away.
I encourage my patients to start range of motion exercises as soon as the pain subsides (couple of days). I let them do whatever they are comfortable with after a couple of weeks. It generally takes 6-8 weeks for all the tenderness to end.

Several: Sounds like you have impingement syndrome where your rot. Cuff gets " pinched"underneath the point ( acromion)of your shoulder w/ arm elevation. Treatment can begin w/ nsaids , rot. Cuff strengthening exersises; steroid injection(s) into the bursal space can be helpful. If pain continues then arthroscopic " decompression"( remove bone spurs and inflamed bursa) is usually reccomended. Good luck!
