i run and do resistance training 5-6 days a week.  is it important to wear a jockstrap or is it not necessary?

No need : If you start to feel tenderness or irritation with or after running, the extra support may help. If not, then it's probably not needed.

i have been having slight testicle pain. i went to the doc and he said i should wear a jock strap. i now have a swollen cord. is it stress? or torsion

See below: If you are having significant testicular pain, get seen now!  torsion, epididimytis , other issues need to be investigated.

i don't like boxes when i work but i've been told that brief cause lower sperm count. i've read that a jockstrap is a good alternative would that be?

Goal??: I think you mean boxers?  1st, are you and a woman having fertility problems (unable to get pregnant?).  If not, then your sperm count isn't an issue - wear boxers!  
next, plenty of couples get pregnant with the male wearing briefs.  If you cannot get pregnant talk to a doctor before you start worrying about your underwear.
Finally, a jockstrap would be just like briefs with reg to sperm count.

my fianc borrowed a hockey jock strap from another player, he said that the head of his penis hurt and kinda burned what is this?

Jock itch: Could be jock itch. I know it is the tip of the penis but i highly doubt he can get UTI from jock strap. Does he have burning sensation when he urinate?
 Try applying antifungal medication and see a doctor for further evaluation.

what can i take to stop jock strap itch on my scrotum area? it itches and sometimes it bleeds when scratched

Antifungal creams: Most "jock-itch" is a superficial fungal infection of the skin in the groin area. If this is the case, many athlete's foot remedies will work here as well.  The ones to try first are lotrimin ultra or Lamisil (terbinafine) cream.  If it is because of yeast infection, use Nystatin cream.

i'm 82 woman w #4 prolapsed bladder. i believe that is wht doc said. do not want patisserie. i wd prefer no surgery at my age. wd wearing jock strap help. i've done exercises but didnt help. is surgery not good at my age? wht cd i do 2 avoid surgery?

: Prolapsed bladder is best managed by a Urologist.
If the urologist recommends surgery to correct your problem, you should consider having it done provided your health is otherwise good(....up and about and able to care for self).
A second opinion from another urologist would help you to decide the best option of treatment. Good luck!

: Yes, you are safe. The vaccine has fully protected you. You are only wearing a mask to protect others that have chosen not to get vaccinated.

Yes: stop if: uncomfortable or short of breath/chest pain.

can i do my workout with ganlion cyst on the top of my wrist? are there any exercises i should avoid doing? is it okay to wear a wrist bandage?

No: A ganglion cyst is filled with a gel like substance, it needs to be drained and a lot of times surgically removed. Go to a hand  or a  plastic surgeon.

can i wear afos or leg braces while doing some cardio workout?

Accepted Answer

Yes: As long as it does not interfere with your balance or put you at risk for injury including blistering or chafing. You may need to modify what cardio exercises that you do or cross train.  If you have specific concerns discuss then with your doctor.
