Man? woman?: In a woman suggest see dermatologist for blood tests to determine underlying cause. If male oral Propecia (finasteride) is option. This needs to be taken long term. If the hair loss persists a hair transplant is an option to  fill in the areas, but try medical treatment first.

Hair loss: The rate of hair loss is not related to the length of the hair. You can have increased loss with trauma, stress or thyroid abnormalities.

Different ones: We'd definitely need more information to begin with to be able to tell what might be going on, but more so a good look at your hair is needed to arrive to a more or less correct diagnosis. Common issues are fungus, thyroid disorder, mineral and vitamin deficiency, hormonal imbalance, and autoimmune disorders. Certain medications may be the culprit as well. Chemicals such as shampoo, sprays!

You need to contact : Your oncologist should be informed about what you have noted and you should go and show it to the person who gave you chemotherapy. I doubt if this is anything serious but communication with your own oncologist is more important than asking for help from others.

If hairs are: Coming back in it is a good thing. It shows health. Be sure you do not have a brush that pulls hairs out as it sounds like that may be the cause of the problem, hairs breaking off at the root or being pulled out . Brush gently with a gentle brush!!

Generally, recovery is spontaneous and occurs within 6 months. B12 shots once a month helps.

Hair loss: I would see your doctor to find out if there are any issues causing your hair loss such as an under active thyroid gland, skin infection or excessive stress.   Everyone has a different rate of hair loss though, and this just may be your pattern at this age.

Can't stop it, man!: All men lose the hair on their temples between age 18 and 22. Look around you. If you're headed for baldness (which is likely if you're blessed with a lot of chest hair) it will continue backwards and over the crown of your head, otherwise it will stop or be very slow. You can treat this (medications, surgery) or embrace your masculinity and genetics.
