Hormonal: Hair growth is hormone regulated. There may have been a change in your hormonal profile. Talk to your doc about that. He will do a physical exam and history taking first and suggest work up and/or treatment.

Poor circulation may be a factor, which can be caused or aggravated by diabetes, thyroid disorders, peripheral artery disease, medications, poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking, being overweight, and other health issues. To properly diagnose your condition, and to rule out a serious condition, you need to be evaluated and tested by a physician.

could laser hair removal cause  a long-term burning sensation on my shins? i don't have a rash, and it is worse when touched. thanks!

Tough one: There is some post laser discomfort but it should not last for weeks on end. Did you have initial complications like burns or blisters?
I worry about a nerve injury developing a complex pain syndrome in the shins. I would see a neurologist if this is going on for over 2 weeks possible a pain management specialist. Especially if the skin is getting tighter, shine and painful

i tore my acl and meniscus 1-1 1/2 years ago then my legs/ ankles swell up almost every morning and my hairs has got thin, i have red spots on the top of my head, a large rash(looks like sun spots/large freckles) on both of my lower legs from knee to shin

See Pediatrician: Most 4 year olds are very busy playing and will ignore being cold or sore or sleepy...So this pattern is somewhat unusual. Might be growth related, but should be evaluated by his pediatrician, and can look at hair as well.

can off and on severe itch be a result of pulled/broken hair. it comes when skin is stretched at those two spots on my leg?

Not exactly: if you took a scissors and cut the hair, it wouldn't itch. Itching is a skin or lower issue. The pulling of hair if it pulls on the skin might. Some people get hives/histamine release from skin being rubbed/pulled irritated (anti-histamines help). Some feel itching instead of other sensations in the skin (nerve pills help).

You can get laser : If you want to get rid of leg hair and do not want to shave, you can have it done or get electrolysis, but shaving is going to continue same thing.

Not necessarily: Some boys have leg hair from a young age (certain ethnic groups). Now, he is done growing when he grows enough facial hair to require shaving every day.

Yes: That can be an indication of low thyroid or vascular insufficiency. If pronounced, should discuss change and concern with your primary Dr for further evaluation.
