Doctor can evaluate: Spots in the genitals area are hard to describe in words, and even harder to visualize. A primary care doctor or an ob-gyn can look to see what it might be. Possibilities include an inflamed or infected gland, a herpes sore (they hurt), some other std, etc...  If it is a bacterial infection, antibiotics can help. If it is viral like herpes, then anti-virals like Valtrex (valacyclovir) may be helpful.

Pregnancy signs: Sharp shooting pains in the uterus can definitely be a sign of pregnancy.  Coupled with missed period, fatigue, urinary frequency, breast tenderness, or nausea can increase that likelihood.

i just had a baby 3 weeks ago my pain is getting worse now. had ultrasound done and had scar tissue on my uterus is sharp shooting pains normal?

Yes: As long as you have had an ultrasound, the likelihood of a more serious condition causing the pain is unlikely. Scar tissue typically forms actively for 3-6 weeks after injury subsiding thereafter. If the gets worse or does not subside after 6 weeks i would recommend a repeat ultrasound to check on status if scar tissue or other conditions causing the pain.

i get constant sharp shooting pains in the upper left side of my uterus area, been going on for years. any ideas? constant yeast infections, bv, upset stomach and shooting pains near anus. not sexually active. why?

More info: More information needed:  when did it start, is it just one side? Is it associated with swelling or redness, any history of DVT (deep vein thrombosis), any history of pulmonary embolism (ipe - blood clot in lung) any history of cancer?  Any trauma or muscle strain?
