Maybe: It may be muscular or  illioinguinal neuralgia. Muscle pain will probably resolve over time. The neuralgia usually requires simple nerve blocks.

Possible disc: Pain in back with radiation into the leg is suggestive of nerve root compromise in the lower back. In your age group this most commonly is due to a disc herniation. Would suggest orthopedic or physical medicine evaluation.

Get checked out: I would start with an xray of the hip joint (and also maybe lower along the femur)  to make sure something pathological isn't going on with the thigh bone.

A few things: Sharp pain and cramping could be dehydration, muscular, vascular or neurologic.  Start with fluids, simple stretches of the back, hip and thigh muscles for a few days.

Sciatica: Sounds like sciatica.  This condition is usually responsive to rest and over the counter anti-inflammatories. If fever exist however, then you need medical evaluation.  Any persistent pain for more than 3 weeks also warrants evaluation.  If you wear wallet in rear pocket on that side remove it.

Meralgia paresthetic: There is a sensory nerve that runs the outside of your thighs, the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, whenever inflammed, we call this meralgia paresthetica.  There may be other causes too, but since I am a neurologist, that is the best i can come up with.

Sciatica: You may have sciatica, this is a muscle spasm from your low back into your buttocks. Proper stretching may help you a lot. Find a knowledgable fitness expert , physical therapist or trainer to help you learn to properly stretch.
