Neuro Consult ASAP: These symptoms may be caused by vestibular migraine and thus be treatable. Please see a neurologist ASAP to make sure they are not caused by something more serious. Oscillopsia is caused by cortical problems, loss of oculo-vestibular reflex, MS, all of the different causes of nystagmus, toxins, meds, strokes, structural neurological problems etc. Migraines are not high on the list. Do not wait.

Migraine: You have described an occipital migraine.  These affect the back of the brain which is the visual processing center of your brain.  They last 5 minutes to up to 2 hours but always go away  and are not caused by anything you need to worry about.

How long?: Has this been happening for hours , weeks, or years? Have you had problem such as migraine in the past?  Do you have other medication conditions?  What kinds of medication are you on?  We need to know far more.

Side effects: A condition following seizures is called post ictal.  Shakey sensation may be due to medication effect or brain effect trying to recover.  Let him rest and recover.  Some seizure medications will cause shakey vision.

Get checked: I would certainly take her to be checked as soon as possible.  The combination of dizziness and vision changes is particularly concerning and a stroke would be one consideration among many possible causes.  Consider taking her to the er to be seen immediately.  Thank you.
