: You should determine your level of risk in terms of sexual adventure. If you have many partners and probably with sex workers without protection it is a consideration that you could discuss with a doctor. The positive Ig G for HSV 2 does not increase chances of being infected with HIV but the lesions or ulcers that may manifest may increase the chance of entry of the HIV virus.
