Probably normal: After ovulation you could develop an ovarian cyst. That cyst could be as large as a softball, and still be normal - but it could cause some cramps, pain, and pressure. If your symptoms are severe or if they last more than 3 weeks - then see your doctor.

Time will tell: well, do you feel pregnant? some women know right away.

Most women in industrialized countries do not breastfeed enough to prevent ovulation after about 3 months.

So, I would say, check a pregnancy test in 1-2 weeks. and "Act as if you are pregnant" meaning don't drink, don't smoke, etc.

and if you don't want to be pregnant, start birth control.

High: The symptoms of ovulation and the hormone level rises during ovulation don't necessarily predict when the egg actually leaves the ovary and is in the tube.  Days 12-16 of a womans cycle are the dates most likely for her to ovulate.  Do a pregnancy test immediately if you don't get your menstrual cycle on time.

Just a little: Plan B (and other "morning after" pills) can alter the menstrual bleeding for the cycle in which Plan B was taken, and sometimes in the next cycle too. One should be sure to check a pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex, because emergency contraceptive pills work most of the time, but not all the time. For any new or unusual vaginal discharge, especially if having sex, her doctor should evaluate.
