i have had a productive cough for the last 2 weeks accompanied by severe pain under left breast when coughing. no insurance now. im hoping this is something that will go away on its own??

Fever?: If you have a fever, an evaluation for bacterial pneumonia and COVID 19 are indicated. 
If you do not have a fever and the cough seems to be improving slowly, then you can wait one more week to see if it resolves, if there are no other major symptoms.
Drink soothing fluids, rest and an over the counter cough preparation may help.

See a doc: I can think of six life threatening diagnoses for this kind of complaint, but if you're still reading, these are unlikely. See a doctor or call 911. Other possibilities like infection or tumor should be investigated.

Breast lump: Tough to say without an exam and some testing, such as  a diagnostic mammogram, which can help detect small lumps that need to be further evaluated, assuring they are not cancerous, vs. simple cystic areas, or abscesses, etc.  Best wishes.  See Dr. to be safe for above.

Some options: You could be correct but there can be other causes such as a nerve irritation or compression, a muscle spasm  or contraction, a rib costochondral inflammation. If you feel well otherwise, look at your posture and how you move or lift, try an anti-inflammatory medication (like Advil or Motrin), use moist heat in the area, if not better or other symptoms, check with your doctor. Get better !!

Could be serious: You don't give any information about yourself, but this could be a heart attack.  At any rate, severe pain deserves an explanation.  You should be seen ASAP.

Infection: Most likely at your age it represents an infection.  Have it looked at before if becomes an abscess.
