Normal: After menstruation is over the lining of the endometrium begins to proliferate and grow.  In this phase it is called Proliferative Endometrium.   After ovulation it becomes Secretory Endometrium because it changes in appearance due to the secretion of progesterone.  It is a description of normal endometrium after ovulation.  Best wishes!

2nd phase absent: There are two phases to the endometrium. The first half of the cycle the endometrium grows under the influence of estrogen only= proliferative phase. The second half of the cycle Progesterone is added if ovulation occurs= secretory phase. By definition on your report the endometrium was not secretory.

: As I mentioned, if the biopsy was taken in the second of the cycle, that would indicate lack of ovulation and that is not conducive to pregnancy. It would be prudent to consult with your gynecologist.

Follow up: The biopsy shows that the endometirum is growing or proliferating in response to the treatment or even the normal cycle. Given accurate charting of menstrual cycle and treatment for infertility, this can give an idea as to the underlying issue with infertility and get the right intervention. The specific situation should be followed closely with the treating clinician.
