No: While anything is possible, it is unlikely. It could be a virus. I would suggest starting a probiotic (good bacteria). This should help balance the digestive system out, but also there is a study that showed that women who took a probiotic during the second half of pregnancy had children with less risk of allergy concerns.

Need more info: Need more info bout your general health. Nutritional counseling has to be tailored to the individual patient. I prefer to use every day products like mil , milk products, green veggies, soybean and calcium carbonate among others. Mega vitamins should not be given. Talk with your OB and/or with a dietician to get the most up to date advice considering your health status.

Do not rec that: In preg or when not preg   too much can lead to in some people kidney stones 1000-2000 mg at the most but ask your ob.

Try different brand: Some people will be sensitive to the smell or composition of a particular vitamin. It's worth trying a different brand to see if you tolerate it better.

i'm in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy and my morning sickness has subdued. at night i take prenatal vitamins an hour after eating & i always feel very nauseous & i end up vomiting. why is this happening?

Maybe iron.: Prenatal vitamins have more iron in them than regular vitamins which may be upsetting your stomach.  You could taking the vitamin as half after breakfast and half after dinner to see if that helps.  I'd also take it right after dinner (don't wait an hour).  You could try a different brand (but they all have iron).  Start with half tab twice a day with food and let me know if it helps -.
