Early salicylic late: Early on, salicylic acid and Hydrocortisone cream preparations may limit inflammation which can produce hyperpigmentation. Late pigmentation can be treated with bleaching agents such as hydroquinone in combination with a retinoid and steroid. Alternatively, some chemical peels or fractionated laser treatments can also produce nice results. Only rarely is surgery needed.

Maybe: Scar removal is a misnomer. Scars are nearly always permanent to some degree. There are ways doctors can improve scars, and there are ways you can improve your scars. Meet with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to see what's best for your particular scars.

Difficult Problem: For new scars, avoidance of daylight exposure is essential, so you should keep the areas covered and use sunscreen.  Laser treatments (fractionated co2 and others) can be very effective at improving the appearance of these types of scars. Topical silicone gel (solid sheets or liquid ointment) used at least 8 hours per day for thre months can make a big difference, also.

Don't worry: Some people's skin tends to scar easier than others. Nothing to worry about. To reduce scars, try moisturizing cuts/wounds/bites with Vitamin E oil or cream. Always wear sunscreen. Keep skin well moisturized.

Scarring: Scarring from childhood chicken pox, insect bites or acne can be very annoying to a patient. Vitamin e capsules (broken open) and applied directly may help sometimes. Please see your local dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment strategies.

i just got bit several times by mosquitos. i noticed one bite on my leg has 3 dark lines coming out from it. it almost looks like veins but ive never seen it before. ive had reactions to mosquito bites before but havent seen this. whats going on?

: I'm not sure what the dark lines signify. A physician would have to inspect this to be sure. The lines could be some breakdown products of some bleeding that occurred under the skin from the bite.

Bruising: small bites cause blood to come to the surface of the skin: multiple mosquito bites can look like bruising, but really related to superficial blood drawn to the surface during the bites. I suggest OTC antihistamines and 1% hydrocortisone cream.
