Dryness & Irritation: Often, rogaine (minoxidil) can cause some dryness and irritation, especially if you are using it twice a day.  I would decrease the frequency of use to once daily or every other day until the irritation subsides.  Then slowly work back up to twice daily as tolerated.  If this doesn't help, you may need to see a dermatologist to find out if the rogaine is exacerbating a different scalp problem.

Rogaine (minoxidil): For women and men, use rogaine (minoxidil) for men because it is 5% and is the strongest. Rogaine (minoxidil) is applied twice a day but one you start using rogaine (minoxidil) you will have to use it the rest of your life otherwise the hair will stop growing and will fall out.

Rogaine: Rogaine is more effective for hair growth on the top of the scalp rather than for generalized hair thinning. If you're very concerned, consult a dermatologist who will assess your hair status, order tests like thyroid levels and determine whether it's genetic or if there is any pathology. If none, consult a skilled beautician for hair care.

Confusing: Are you reacting to minoxidil (Rogaine) as a few people do? Or do you have seborrheic dermatitis? These are 2 different things. Do you have sores or badly inflamed skin? Sounds like you need a dermatology consult more than you need hair color.

Yes.: I know the package insert says it "has only been proven to work" on the vertex (crown) of the scalp - because clinical trials were conducted on that area, so the fda says the manufacturer cannot claim that it works anywhere else. However, in the real world, it works the same way on the frontal scalp as it does on the crown.

Scalp itching : and tingling may be due seborrhea or dry scalp. Dandruff shampoo may be helpful

Maybe: If you are to be bald it would be evident by age 23. You may not need any thing, but the sooner you start the better the result. The pills are more effective but require prescription. Some people use both. If you do something the benefit goes only to those who use it religeously for many years.
