Saline never hurt!: A can of aerosolized saline never hurt to rinse out a toddlers runny nose.  If there is fever or green discharge that doesn't go a way after a day or two, check with your pediatrician.

Resid inflammation: Most likely you have some minor residual inflammation left over form your viral/allergy medicated cold you had last week, that shows as pinkish tinged mucus.  Stay well hydrated and if that does resolve soon, see the dr.  Best wishes.

Cold symptoms: Many of the symptoms you are described sound like an upper respiratory infection.  You should consult your physician if you are concerned about a worsening illness like  you described above. If you are asking if your child is no getting enough food, i would say that lack of food intake generally does not cause the acute symptoms of cough, nasal congestion and poor sleep.

Mgt: You may have influenza infection or another viral illness. Please monitor your temperature, drink fluids and if you don' t improve your PCP can evaluate you for pneumonia. If you are experiencing shortness of breath,  please see the ED.

Runny Nose B Gone: You can use an over-the-counter decongestant pill. Be careful if you have high blood pressure. Don't take it later in the day [can keep you awake]. Don't use decongestant nose spray [like afrin] more than 3 days because of rebound. Even better: prevention! what's the cause? Common cold [ride it out]? Allergies [nasal saline, hayfever meds]? Other causes? Good luck.

Runny nose: Try Allegra or Claritin (loratadine) before sleep

Antihistamine: Take an antihistamine in the morning or at night. You can try a non steroidal nasal spray or a steroidal nasal spray, which ever works better.

Depends on the cause: For a running nose and nasal congestion nasal sprays including Afrin and phenylephrine may be helpful. If it is  chronic rhinorrhea (runny nose), nasal steroid and antihistamine sprays help. If it is only the nasal dripping that is bothersome ipratroprium nasal spray is the best.
