Roxithromycin: Is not present in the US, intended for people in Australia, it is a macrolide, more or less similar to Azithromycin, yes it passes in breast milk, not intended to be given to small children anyways, safety of Azithromycin  in breastfeeding is unknown,  yet no reported huge side effects from breastfeeding mothers on their babies, I would take the medicine, and call the doctor to discuss

Perhaps: How long have you been taking this antibiotic and for what reason? There are many causes of chest pain and fatigue - you should call the doctor who prescribed it and find out from him whether you need to call 911 for chest pain or if he will see you urgently.

You shouldn't: You can do anything you want; however, the risk of permanent liver damage increases significantly if you combine antibiotics and alcohol.

Stay off the booze while on antibiotics.

Review with your Doc: Is is a macrolide type antibiotics and should not be taking together with atorvastatin. Talk to your doctor first before taking the two medications together.

if taking apo - roxithromycin 150mg for 3 days, developing an itchy skin and stopping on doctors advice, how long before the bad reaction stops?

Varies: The duration of an allergic skin reaction varies from days to weeks. Antihistamines like benadryl (diphenhydramine) help and,in severe cases, corticosteroids are used but must be slowly tapered to avoid a rebound flare up. If there is no accompanying rash, the itching could be due to other factors like dry skin. Your physician is best qualified to advise you,however.

i have tonsillitis, my gp gave me roxithromycin without seeing me. i'm taking alprim and endep (amitriptyline) currently. not sure if safe together??

No drug inteactions: There should not be any drug interaction between your roxithromycin and your other two medications. The dispensing pharmacist/chemist are generally very conscientious about monitoring for drug interactions.

my right inner ear  feel itch for one weeknot itchy all the time but almost one or twice per day. it feels itchier when i press the antilobium. i tried roxithromycin and ear drop, not very effected. no hearing loss.

ENT doc: Mild external otitis. You may be having an allergic reaction to one or more of the ear drops. See an ENT doc for exam/advice.
