my girlfriend and i have been getting round yellow balls in our stool. she just found her first one this morning but ive had about 4 now, with one recent stool passage being littered with them. whats going on?

: Stool color may be influenced by diet as well as by metabolism. I suggest you review your recent dietary intake- tumeric for instance may cause a yellowish color to your stools.

: Your best bet to find out what they are is to see a gastroenterologist (GI) doctor. You will likely need to send a sample of the stool with the bright yellow “balls” in it to the lab to see if they can figure out what they are. Is there anything you are eating that has that appearance? From your description, it does sound like a foreign body of some sort. Call your GP to get referred to a GI doc

Fiber and hydration: You should consider increasing your fiber intake and should drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless. You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil for increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

is it normal when you have constipation for it to be hard but with soft stool on it also? i'll have round balls that have soft stool around it also

Depends what you ate: Stool can come in many forms, and constipation signals that you may be dehydrated and not drinking enough fluids, or retaining your bm, and waiting too long to evacuate it. Softer, but firm stool can be because of what you ate or is just normal stool passing. Important to not retain stool too long, as you want to avoid auto-intoxication.

We can not for sure: It may be something you are or ingested and if there is no other complaint I will not worry about it.But if it keeps happening get your stool checked.Are you taking Iron Pills or have any other symptoms if so consult your doctor

hello, ive been on 2 different antibotics for a few days now. i had a bile movement this morning and noticed there were round white balls in the bile floating with the feces. what could this be? kinda freaked me out?

: I suspect that these were congealed bits of mucus. This is.of.no concern unless you're passing copious amounts of mucus and have bowel problems. Antibiotics can cause diarrhea though.

Constipated: When you don"t have regular, complete  bowel movements, stool stuck in the intestine becomes dry and separates into small balls or pebbles. Talk to your doctor about dietary changes for constipation, such as more fiber and water , and less processed foods and carbs.
