can rosacea be cured?

No: Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory condition that waxes and wanes.  It usually begins in adulthood, and when papules develop, some call it "adult acne", though this is not acne.  Treatment goal is to avoid known triggers and control the flares as there is no cure.

Maybe: Most of the treatments for rosacea are for the pimples that occur with it.  They usually don't help the redness.  There is a new drug, Mirvaso, that constricts blood vessels and helps the redness of rosacea.  Although not approved for acne, it might help the redness there also.

Rosacea: Yes. However currently there is no cure only treatment. Light therapy or laser can help, as well as metrogel(flagyl) preparations. Please consult a dermatologist or plastic surgeon with skin care experience for help.

No: He can control the appearance and discomfort but the condition can be chronic.

Yes OTC: For patients with seborrheic dermatitis of the face, we suggest treatment with a low potency topical corticosteroid cream, a topical antifungal agent, or a combination of the two.

See below: Otc antihistamines are helpful for many people with seasonal allergies.  If you take multiple medications, a pharmacist can help you find an otc product that will not interact with your other medications. If you have no other symptoms of seasonal allergies (runny nose, sneezing, etc) or this is the first time you have had red, sore eyes... You should see your physician.

Can be managed: Usually cannot be cured but can be managed with topical and/or oral medications.

Can't hurt; but no: It is highly unlikely to produce any decrease in redness but it is a good moisturizer.

Red hot cheeks: Use virgin coconut oil applied 3-4  times daily. It my take up to 3-4 weeks to work. Propanolol could possibly also give you a red face.

Anxiety: In stressful situations its not uncommon to have a red face or blush. If your worried about it, it exacerbates the situation. If you adopt an attitude of who cares, it will occur less frequently. Chances are, you care more than others anyways!
