Atrophy: This question is difficult to answer with the info provided. As you are a bodybuilder, I am wondering if you have ever taken any steroids or testosterone. Those substances can cause testicukar atrophy. As for the pelvic pain, that is more likely to be musculoskeletal. Doxycycline is frequently prescribed for epididymitis.

Torsion: The pain from torsion is testicular; so bad the testes hurts to the touch

if you feel testes pain you need to go to the er for a formal exam by a doctor.

i treated genital warts 2yrs ago,and i recently had a symptom of genital herpes. i started having random pain in my genital area, pelvic, scrotum.. then i had testicular pain for 6 weeks which has reduced now. did herpes cause this or something else?

Testicular pain: I assume there has been no recent trauma. Have you had excessive genital stimulation?  It's possible that there is irritation/inflammation of the epididymus. If symptoms persist, a urologist is best to examine &amp; advise you. A urinalysis can be performed.

Dr to examine testis: Testicle pain means a trip to the doctor right away because the testicle's blood supply can be twisted off (called torsion). When that happens, the testicle can die. Other causes of testicle pain include trauma, infection, twisting of an appendix of a testicle (a small lump next to a testicle), etc... Since a guy usually cannot tell if his testicle is twisting, an exam by the doctor is needed.

Testalgia: Many possible causes but one common one would be prostatitis.  Referrred pain to the testis and vague pelvic aching are common symptoms.  Get examined.

Chlamydia...: ...is the most common cause of epididymitis in young men. That probably was your doctor's diagnosis; it's the main reason to use doxycycline. Gonorrhea is possible but less likely, but might not respond to doxy. Both testicular pain and urethral irritation should continue to improve, but check with your doctor if they continue. Your sex partner(s) need to be treated for chlamydia. Good luck!

while washing my testicles i accidentally scrubbed too hard and felt a quick pain. it subsided straight away but should i be worried? and when should testicular pain be a cause for concern?

: Testicles are very sensitive to discomfort/pain. So that was a normal reaction. . Testicular pain is of concern if it is severe, contiuous , accompanied by swelling, redness of skin (scrotum) and without history of injury.
