Left facial symptoms: Are usually a function o the left facial nerve.  You should see a doctor.  When you smile... Is the left side of your face weaker?  This can be serious.  Bell's palsy is usually viral but if persistent you might need further evaluation.  It sounds like this is persistent.

right arm numbness and left side of face numb. cat scan was clear, blood tests were good. doc is starting me on b12 injections. can it be ms or other?

You may need MRI: Cat scan may not give a good diagnosis eval.  Mri of the head with contrast will be a better option.

Face numb: How long have you had this. Pressure from sleeping position can do this. 
Is it one sided or two? 
You need to map out the areas of numbness to help the doctor make a diagnosis and treatment. 
Does it only involve the lip area? That would be the second division of the trigeminal nerve (fifth cranial nerve)
Use a picture of a face to map the area on numbness to show to your doctor.

Herpes Type1?: Sounds like this could be herpes and you should see your primary care physician in the morning. He/she may put you on anti-virals. If it is zoster your immune system might be compromised.

Nerve compression: If this was transient it was very likely compression of a sensory nerve to your face as it passes in front of your ear.

i have notice when i eat certain foods it makes either my right side of my head numb or my head numb and my face numb. why is that?

Very curious: Typical food allergies are not associated with numbness.   Ingestion of aged cheeses can lead to headache.  Alcohol can cause flushing.   If avoidance of these trigger foods results in no further numbness, then that suggests a correlation.  However, other conditions that cause numbness should be sought if it persists.
