15-25 cm3: Testicular volume should range from 15-25 cm3.  You'll should be tested for a sub-clinical right varicocele as ell.  Regardless, testicular volume ranging from 5-6 cm3 is extremely low and would suggest severe dysgeneisi/mal-development. Should also be considered for genetic testing.....

my husband has just had a scan on his testicles. the results came in at 7ml left and 8ml right. is that normal size for an adult male?

No, it is not.: 8 milliliters is very small for a testicle. It is possible that some other measuring unit than milliliters was used. Be sure to follow up with the  doctor who ordered the scan and get the full report and interpretation.

In the cold the cremaster muscle contracts to pull up the testes to a warmer environment as well as during flight or fight situations including sexual arousal. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
