Definitions....: Anovulation means you didn't ovulate that cycle.  Ovulation occurs mid-cycle and not ovulating does not necessarily alter the flow of the following menses.  Treatment is only necessary if anovulation is chronic and you're trying to conceive!  good luck!

There are several...: Some natural therapies may work, depending on why someone is not ovulating.  For example, if it's due to pcos, then weight loss may help (if overweight).  Acupuncture has helped some of my patients..  If it's anovulation due to anorexia, being too thin, or exercising too much, then weight gain may help (along with decreasing exercise). It depends: There is a wide variety of etiologies for anovulation.  And the solution may not only depend on the etiology, but what exactly is the "problem" anovulation is causing.  Is the problem heavy periods, irregular periods, absence of periods, endometrial hyperplasia, infertility, etc.  It is best to seek gyn consultation for evaluation and proper management of anovulation.
