A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception) or 1 week after missing a period. A faint positive line is considered positive. One can wait 2 weeks and recheck and should get a positive line if pregnant.

SAB: Sounds like you had a brief pregnancy followed by a loss. It is important to see a doctor for a blood test to verify that your bHCG is actually zero as there are other problems that can develop if a miscarriage is not completely resolved. Good luck.

Am I fertile?: I am unsure how we can answer this question without more information. How do you know you are not ovulating? How frequent and what length are your periods? What does your gynecologist say?

Not naturally: With medications yes, but not naturally. A true menstrual period is by definition an event that follows ovulation. There are many reasons for vaginal bleeding due to other causes, which can cause confusion, but these are not menstrual periods.  It is a safe rule of thumb anyway, that a woman with regular cyclic bleeding is ovulating.

The duration of 2 days is unusual, but no all that uncommon, especially if there are contraceptives such as birth control pills being taken. Pregnancy can also cause a change in menstrual cycles.
