Allergy: You are allergic to some component in the cream. Use antihistamines until it goes away and see an allergist to determine what it is in the cream that you are allergic to. If the redness or swelling continue to spread or if you have trouble breathing, call 911 and get to the er fast. Best wishes.

If you mean alcohol,: That is a vasodilator, i.e., it widens the blood vessels on the surface of the skin.  Thus, your skin gets red and you get warm from the additional blood flow.  See your doc to make sure you don't have an allergy.  Peace and good health.

It requires medcheck: Flushing of the face and chest occurs in a condition called carcinoid syndrome. But it is usually accompanied by frequent Diarrhea. How are your bowel movements?. if you are having any other symptoms besides redness you should go see your doctor for his/her assessment and physical examination and check your liver.

: Flushed face is not a known side effect of the noted medications &amp; not a symptom of PKD; however, med side effect can't be ruled out. The temporal relationship between that symptom and the starting time of each medication may be helpful in defining the causal relationship and you should track that down. If sx is of recent onset &amp; meds have been used for months or years, meds aren't the culprit.

Most hot and cold: sensations involve misfiring or some sort of dysfunction of the sensory nerves of the skin.  The sensations of redness and warmth to the touch suggest dilation of blood vessels...it almost sounds like a type of "hot flash."  How old are you? Sometimes menopausal hot flashes are perceived in a localized part of the body vs generalized over the entire body. Review with your doctor to decide on tests

Many have observed that it typically begins any time after age 30 as a redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead that may come and go. In some cases, rosacea may also occur on the neck, chest, scalp or ears. Alcohol can cause a flare.

Secondary exercise headache underlying, often serious, problem within the brain such as bleeding or a tumor or outside the brain  as coronary artery disease.  And may require emergency medical at.
