stings burns and is red blotchy rash breaking out i  used ice did not help hoe can i relieve the pain and redness???

Reaction: This appears to be both a primary irritation as well as a possible allergic reaction to the NAIR. Take an antihistamine like benadryl(causes drowsiness) or Claritin; apply a cortisone type cream also. If severe redness spreads, or fever develops, have your physician examine and treat you.

Recommend: medical assessment. These lesions need to be visualized &amp; a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis.  Sometimes lab testing or biopsy is necessary.

Hives ?: Sounds like your getting hives (urticaria) under certain conditions . If this itches and you scratch you may cause discoloration some of which could be permanent  . See a dermatologist for eval and possible allergy testing.

Pityriasis: What you are describing could be pityriasis.  Pityriasis is a rash that causes red patches just like you described and is often mistaken for ringworm.  It can occur anywhere on the body and is often itchy but not always.   It is not contagious and will go away on it's own in about 6-8 weeks.   Here is some more info;

DIAPER DERMATITIS: 1.Irritant contact: due 2 skin overhydration, maceration, long contact w/urine, feces. Red, scaly  w/fissure, erosions, patchy; folds spared. 
#2. Candida/yeast: warm, moist occluded skin of diaper area help candida growth from stool. Red rash on perianal skin, folds, scrotum-, spreads. Rx: wash w/warm water, change diaper frequent, short period w/o it, use zinc oxide paste. See doc for candida tx.

Shower and rash: Hi, i don;t know what NYC shower is but there are couple possibilities here, if the water is hot then you might have water Hives. Please see a Dermatologits.
