Cycle related: Depending on exactly when and whether just one or both breasts are affected, the more common causes are premenstrual, pregnancy, and breast cysts ("fibrocystic disease").  It is extremely unusual for breast cancers to present with pain, and infections are generally associated with some sort of trauma or breast feeding.

See below: You probably strained your chest and shoulder muscles when you were crying.  Drink some water, get a massage, and take it easy for a few days.  Your pain should improve with time.

Lactic Acid: The burning sensation could be due to a build-up of lactic acid in the overworked muscles. It may need a bit more time to clear up. Take it easy with your workouts moving forward.
