Unsure: These lesions need to be visualized &amp; a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis.  Sometimes lab testing or biopsy is necessary.

Yes: It can be shingles/ herpes zoster. If indeed shingles, it will hurt sooner or later.

Probably not.: It is probably a delayed reaction to the cleansing solutions used to clean the groin and surrounding area (abdomen)  before the procedure. Wash the affected area with gentle soap and water. Use Benedryl OTC if the itching is severe. This will probably resolve in a few more days.

What was the trigger: Assuming that you have no systemic symptoms like fever, headache etc, you apparently have an allergic reaction to something that you applied recently to your skin in the  affected area. Trace back your recent events to determine the trigger and get rid of it. In the meantime time use some antihistamine pills but if things don't improve check with a dr

Short term: Short term yes. If not working in short order stop it and re see your doctor. The issue is how much of your body surface needs to be covered. If a lot it may act like an oral steroid, with its potential side effects.

Eczema: But it could also be dry skin especially during the winter months. Need to lotion up with any moisturizing cream or lotion, you may also need prescription  strength steroids depending on the severity.

See your doctor: various infectious, allergic, and other inflammatory conditions may cause this including food or contact allergies, viral infections, medications etc and would need more extensive review. happy to consult but otherwise see your doctor soon esp if persistent to identify underlying cause(s) esp if any changes such as new medications, foods, soaps/bath oils, sexual practice, travels, etc

Could be fungal: You can try an antifungal cream such as Clotrimazole which we can buy at the dollar store.  Use as directed.  Do not wash it off. Let it stay on... For at least 12-15 hours before washing.  Also.. Obviously test a little on some skin to make sure you are not allergic before applying a large amount on your skin.
