Hormonal imbalance: If you had a period and pregnancy test, on a correctly done test, was negative, you are highly unlikely to be pregnant. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive.

Don't be too sure...: The GI tract has a very limited # of symptoms to signal its distress--nausea/vomiting, diarrhea/constipation, bloating, pain, fullness, bleeding, etc. As you know, many of these characterize ibs, but are also seen with inflammatory, infectious, ischemic, malabsorptive, and functional disorders. Also, pregnancy is always possible despite use of birth control--no single method is 100% effective.

Pregnant?: Need more information regarding dates for your last period, but if your period is delayed, in mid-30's it may be secondary to delayed ovulation.  To be certain, wait another week and obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy. Ask your gyn provider about low dose oral bcp's (if no contraindications exist) which stop normal ovarian function, an "regulate" menstrual bleeding.

Possible vasovagal: It could be anything and u should ur doc but look up vasovagal and see if that matches up with your symptoms. Drink lots of fluids and less caffeine an soda and see if that helps. Check blood pressure when you have the sx.
