i quit drinking it's been 4 days and i am very ansee anxous in the evening time i am used to having 2-3 glasses of wine every night. can any med help?

Yes: Your doctor could prescribe a mild tranquilizer to help ease the shakiness.  You would take this only for a few days to help you get through the withdrawal. These meds are addicting, so you can't stay on them.  Be sure to get help from a counselor or AA (Alcoholics Anonymous).  You will need help and support to stay sober.  Good luck!

Palpitations: Alcohol like caffeine can excite the heart rhythm and make the heart race or produce premature beats. This tends to clear when the alcohol wears off. If palpitations   persist, have your physician examine you.

See details: The zoloft (sertraline) dose is fairly high and headaches are a side effect of this med. Speak with the doctor who prescribed it.

my bp has dropped to81/59. i quit drinking caffeine coffee 6 days ago.
i'm on carvedilol 25 mg twice a day plus amlodipine 10 mg i dropped it to 5mg?

Stopping caffeine is: unlikely to have had an affect on your BP. This is most likely from your Carvedilol and Amlodipine. I agree with reducing the dose of Amlodipine but you should discuss this with your health care provider as well.

See a doctor: Liver, heart, and kidney disease (amongst other things) can cause this. You need an evaluation.

Go see your DR: And have a comprehensive evaluation to include blood work, urinalysis, ekg, colonoscopy if you haven't had one.
Your symptoms could mean a lot of things.

One day at a time.: Please look up alcoholic anonymous  on-line or in your yellow pages. Ask about locations and times of meetings. Go to 90 meetings in the next 90 meetings. Get a sponsor (even if only a temporary sponsor). Start working a 12 step program now. Acupuncture can be very helpful with cravings. An addiction medicine specialist is also a good move. Take care.
