Check for lupus: You describe joint stiffness &amp; swelling which indicate joint inflammation (arthritis), not just joint pain (arthralgia). This coupled with the skin's sensitivity to the sun (photosensitivity) brings up the possibility of lupus erythematosus. It is an autoimmune disease (the body attacks itself) that is treatable. See your doctor and tell him/her the symptoms exactly as you did above.

Sounds like --: This could be raynaud's phenomenon.  The small arteries into the finge go into spasm because of the cold.  This restricts the blood flow causing the whiteness and then the purple.  Sometimes this happens as the only symptom and other times it maybe associated with other conditions.

Livido reticularis: This sounds to me like livido reticularis - which is a Latin medical name for describing what I think you had. This finding is non-specific, but it could be a clue to something else. I would recommend you take photos of it to show the docs on Health Tap or even better go in for an appointment with your regular doctor. Need more informatio: A dermatologist will help you. She will be interested in your activities and job. Wet work? Food handling? Hands exposed to cold? What have you tried so far? Meanwhile make sure you have warm gloves when you go out or drive. Get a ceramide cream such as Eucerin in a jar or pump bottle. At bedtime soak hands for a long time in hot water, then rub in the cream. Repeat in AM. Use chapstick on cracks.

Raynauds : Raynauds is the temporary spasm of the arteries going to your hand.  This can be triggeres  by exposure to cold among othet things.  Palpable pulses are ok especially when it is not happening.  If this occurs often or is painful, you might want to get it checked out.  You need a dopplet type vascular study to fully assess your circulation.

Workup/Mgt: I would advise checking your daughter's temperature. Babies can lose body heat quickly. Keep her head warm and she should have one more layer of clothing than older children. Since she is on albuterol and has had constipation, a screening test for CF should be confirmed to rule out CF.
Her pulse oximetry or oxygen saturation should be checked on arms and legs. If she has any distress, ED visit.
