See your doctor: Your symptoms may be signs of something significantly wrong.  One cannot tell without a complete history, physical and possible lab/imaging tests.  Follow with your doctor as soon as you can.  Things that can cause pains in chest and ribcage include heartburn, pneumonia, gallbladder problems, liver disease, kidney problems, heart attacks, or blood clots.

i have pain in the upper part iof my stomach in the diaphragm area for a week.  like someone punched me.  it is hard to eat without feeling too full.

ER/urgent care: I would suggest immediate evaluation of upper abdominal pain-STAT! Never ignore these symtoms. Go directly to the ER or your local UC.

Stomach ulcer/reflux: Could be a concern if it worsens after a meal.  Try antacids and can consider even a 2 week trial of over the counter pepcid (famotidine) to see if you have improvement.  If you are vomiting blood or the pain becomes very severe go to the ER.

See details: It could just be an abdominal wall contusion from the trauma. However, a severe injury may cause internal organ damage. Have the issue evaluated if the discomfort is not improving.

See your doctor: Pain in the abdomen can be caused by many things.  While there is no way to say for sure without a more detailed evaluation, pain in the abdomen that starts in the back can be from gall stones, the pancreas, kidneys, or the aorta to name a few.
I recommend seeing a doctor.  Your doctor will need much more detailed information and a physicial exam to give you an answer.

Sounds bruised or: contused, but please clarify that the tenderness you feel is superficial (e.g. abdominal wall) &amp; not deep inside. If the latter, internal damage may have resulted and warrants immediate attention.

Many possibilities: A person with tummy pain between the belly button and the bottom of the rib cage can have a variety of problems. A doctor's examination is needed, unless the person is young and healthy, and the pain is mild and resolves quickly. Possible causes include: stomach acid problems, reflux symptoms, pancreatitis, gall stone related problems, abdominal muscle strains, some sort of hernia, etc...
