recent urinalysis found protein&trace blood. but also lists rbc result 2/units hpf/reference range 0-1, so mine is 2 what does this mean?dr in 1month!

Probably nothing: Every lab has their own reference value for "abnormal" findings.  Most labs would say that 2 rbcs/hpf is in the normal range.  Also, a lot of findings depend on how concentrated your urine is.  One might see "trace protein" on the urinalysis if the concentration (estimated by the specific gravity) is high.  It would make most sense to repeat the urine study when you are well hydrated.

Not necessarily: Blood and protein in the urine can be coming from the kidney, ureter, bladder, or prostate in a male.  Causes include kidney stones, urinary tract infections. Prostatitis, kidney inflammation (glomerulonephritis), and benign and malignant tumors of the urinary tract.  Workup includes urinalysis, urine culture, ultrasound or ct of the urinary tract and cystoscopy.

Could be: If you have urinary urgency and frequency, burning when urinating, suprapubic pain then these results could be secondary to uti. In the abscence of symptoms these findings need to be investigated further and determine whether the blood is coming from the bladder or the kidneys. Protein is always concerning, ? Kidney disease.  First urine culture and if positive treat accordingly.

R/O UTI: If you have symptoms I would recommend empiric treatment with macrobid pending urine culture and sensitivity . Given underlying MGUS and weakened immune system. Follow up with your doctor for exam and lab testing. Also renal ultrasound/urology consult with cystoscopy may be needed. Increase fluids especially cranberry juice and coconut water

Possible: Small amounts of protein normal in the urine. Larger amounts may indicate kidney problem.  How did you collect the urine? This will have an impact on the amount of leucocytes in the sample. What was the indication for the collection? This will guide interpretation as well. If you are pregnant, even if a symptomatic , your OB will discuss treatment options with you.
