No: Your physician, like you, is an adult. However, a prolactinoma (or high prolactin in any case) is serious business and i'd urge you to get with an endocrinologist when you are able.

Tumor or meds: Most common is a pituitary tumor, which may or may not be visible on mri. Other common causes are hypothyroid and a variety of medications, primarily psychiatric. Check w/your doctor.

Most elevated prolactin's are caused by a small brain tumor called a prolactinoma. Bromocriptine is an available treatment for this. Part of being a good mother is prioritizing your life. Take care of yourself first before you decide to parent.

Not likely: High prolactin leads to infertility by decreasing the necessary hormones that cause ovulation.  So if prolactin is high that should be addressed because it can be a cause of infertility.

No relation to cance: Cancer is not caused or related to high prolactin. A benign adenoma of the pituitary gland is often the cause of high prolactin level which can cause irregular periods. You should go see an endocrinologist to check your pituitary gland(located under the brain) sooner.

Not sure: Best to figure out why you have several lesions, and if it represents a potential future risk for you.  If these are multiple sclerosis areas, you should be started on a specific medicine.  The prolactin elevation is likely pituitary in origin, and may also require treatment.  Hard to relate all of this together.  Hope you have a benign issue, and that your body is indeed protective. Get diagnosis.

Needs work up: High prolactin level can have several reasons. High hemoglobin can be secondary to other causes or a primary bone marrow issue that your bone marrow is making too many red cell out of control. See a hematologist/oncologist for work up.
