This sounds ...: quite subtle. Having prickly sensations of the SCALP is not that uncommon but do you really mean within your head? The association of prickly sensations in the arms could be either good (probably) or bad. Good...meaning it is probably a manifestation of anxiety and you can manage. Bad...meaning there's something going on in your head that's affecting your arms. Must see Doc for eval/testing/MRI.

Move around: You should get out of your car and walk around to get your blood circulating, this sensation can be caused from driving and sitting down for a long period of time.

Vibrations in skin: The symptoms of vibrating sensation could suggest nerve pathology. If the area of vibration is localized and does not change, it suggests the sensory nerves supplying that area are getting affected by either compression or some other pathology. See a neurologist.

Stress can play on U: The dropping sensation u describe sre known to occur w anxiety state or stress.
There could also be inner ear problem of virtigo, Labrynthitis or even in some cases TMJ problems ahve been linked with sudden sensation of dropping or falling.
If stress relief doesnt resolve the problem, I would recommend an ENT evaluation
