Probably not: This appears to be a contact allergy or irritant reaction and as such an antihistamine would not likely do anything. Avoidance of the contact agent and a topical cortisone cream may help.  In the future, attaching a photo of the rash may help us answer your question more accurately.

i recently had surgery on my left wrist to remove a ganglion, im allergic to penicillin, so the doctor gave me coxlean, its been 8days since my surgery and im not sure whether its a reaction or a heat rash. what should i do?

Basics: Any significant/worrisome allergy to this or any other antibiotic would produce obvious symptoms within hours if not sooner. A minor rash has little significance. If concerned you can have it looked at since it is likely unrelated &amp; could be triggered by any one of a number of issues.

Soaking in tub: Try soaking in tub first. Next limited use of OTC Hydrocortisone ointment.

Body rash: could be caused by sweating or prickly heat, but could also be a viral rash or scarlet fever, which would explain why she is not interested in eating or drinking.    Prickly heat rash is caused by XS sweating from heat or illness, and is treated with tepid bath and keeping skin cool and dry.  Keep her well hydrated with water.  If appetite doesn't return in a day or two, she needs check up.

Allergy??: Sounds like you may have hives, an allergic symptom to an insect bite, a plant (poison ivy), a food or a drug. Please get to see your family physician ASAP before it gets any worse.

No: I wish they were all as easy to answer. "prickly heat" results from physical damage caused by sweating within plugged sweat glands.

MAYBE: Can be caused by many things and you do not give much in details. You can get a rash from anxiety or stress but  other things too. See your physician and get them to take a look.
