Hard to say : Any sort of leakage or difference in discharge should probably be a valid. At this point you're not term so your doctors should  check to see whether that's true leakage of fluid.

When you miss it: When someone misses their period, they're sexually active, and they're not using any birth control, then they should have a high suspicion for pregnancy.  An at home, urine pregnancy test is the next step.

No: There  are  many different  causes of bleeding during pregnancy  such as  threatened  miscarriage, partial  separation of  the  placenta  and  even  infection or  inflammation of the  cervix.
This  may mimic a  menses  but   is  not considered  a period.
If you have  bleeding during pregnancy you  should  contact your md.

Very abnormal: If you are pregnant and experiencing bleeding then this is not normal. Prompt evaluation by your obgyn is warranted. One can not have a period if pregnant. If you are seeing blood then this is  pregnancy bleeding not a period.

It can seem like it: It's the other way around.  You can be pregnant and you don't know it. Up to 30% of pregnant women will bleed at the time of their expected periods because the baby as implanted into the womb.  This gives the impression of a period when it's not your real period.

Ovulation predictor : Try usign the ovulation predictor kits in addition to measuring your basal body temp throughout the month as well as cervical mucus to detect the lh surge.

Yes: You definitely can when periods are irregular.  Consider taking a pregnancy test.  If negative, you might want to consider birth control to both prevent pregnancy and to regulate cycle. 2 birds with 1 stone!
