Pregnancy test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

Unprotected: Since many young women don't ovulate regularly the answer is don't have unprotected sex unless you're prepared to get pregnant.  Doesn't matter if its in the shower, in a tub, in a car or a bed.  All the above may result in a pregnancy.  Probably time to use a condom and get on the birth control pill.

Emerg birth control: Emergency contraception is used after unprotected intercourse to decrease the risk of pregnancy by 70%. It is a high dose of birth control to disrupt the hormonal patterns to delay or prevent ovulation. Abnormal bleeding is common. Side effects are such as nausea, headache and cramping may occur for a few hours but resolve quickly as the medication leaves your body very fast.

Very low chance: If a woman is consistently taking birth control pills (same time, each day) and has been doing fine on them for more than a month, she is protected against pregnancy every day. That protection doesn't change whether she is on the hormone pills or the inactive placebo pills. She doesn't need to worry much about pregnancy, regardless of when she is having sex, but she can still catch STD infections.

Yes, but ...: During menstruation, it is normal to pass some smaller clots (say, dime sized). However, if you are bleeding profusely or passing large clots, consider visiting a doctor for an evaluation of your heavy menstruation. Hormones, fibroids, polyps are common causes. A pelic exam and ultrasound are the next steps. Treatment options will depend on your future fertility plans.

can cholestasis of pregnancy cause long term inflammation to common bile duct?  can hormones affect liver enzymes and itching during period?

Possibly: the itching is from the cholestasis as it causes the bike to go up and this causes the itching. The inflammation can persist, but can also resolve. External hormone use has to be processed by liver first, so they can place "pressure" on the liver, as can Tylenol, (acetaminophen) and any other medications typically.
