Possible, but wait: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed.

You have a: Mildly elevated prolactin, which can induce some infertility. Generally you would need a higher dose of bromocriptine, taken multiple times/day. If available, Cabergoline twice/weekly is a much more effective and less toxic therapy. Talk w/your doctor.

Many possibilities: At your age, aside from pregnancy, there are a number of other possibilities, which include stress, hypothyroidism, PCOS, diabetes, Cushing's, anorexia, medicines, etc. The only way to know for sure is to have this evaluated by a doctor. If you are sexually active, be sure that you repeat a pregnancy test at least 7 days after a missed period. Best wishes.

Two main reasons: If a pregnancy has accurate dating from early sonogram which is in agreement with LMP (last menstrual period) and one sees a greater than 2 week lag in growth from the expected, it could signal iugr (intrauterine growth restriction).  This may be due to a placental problem or a genetic/developmental problem.  Close monitoring of growth, amniotic fluid, and nst (nonstress test) is indicated.

Delayed/ missed: Reasons for missed/late periods: low body weight, obesity, marked  weight ^ or v, over-exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, ^ stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems (polycystic ovary syndrome or asherman’s syndrome). #1 reason is pregnancy.

C/S ?'s: One caution about "waiting until one goes into labor", as in "normal pregnancies" the fetus continues to grow geometrically, and fetal size may create a barrier to a natural delivery.  Additionally, any time beyond accurately determined "40 weeks" can complicate labor by the age of the placenta causing "non-reassuring" fetal heart monitoring abnormalities.  Delayed cord clamping is your choice.

Missed period: Reasons for missed / late period include: an anovulatory cycle in which no egg is released, marked v or ^ in weight; eating disorder; over-exercising (endurance athletics), travel, significant illnesses, oral contraceptives ; other meds, illegal drug use, breast feeding, hormone imbalances and medical problems (i.e., pcos). Unlikely: It is unlikely that you are pregnant if you have never had sexual intercourse.  

A missed period can be caused by many things such as stress, dieting, training for a marathon, or just a random month when you didn't ovulate.

Several possible: Answers to that question.  Most likely something is off in the hormones.  If the thyroid or prolactin are off, if eating too much soy, if losing or gaining weight.  All these things can change the hormones which then prevents ovulation which then makes a woman be late for or miss a period.
