Implanon : Doubtful, your symptoms are more likely from the decreasing hormone levels now that your Implanon has been removed

No: I want to make sure you are talking about Implanon(Nexplanon) the implant that goes in your arm and not an intrauterine device (IUD). As long as the implanon is still in your body it will continue to function as intended, no matter if it slips down the are or ends up deeper in the fat tissue.

No you should not: Implanon releases a constant dose of a progestin which prevents  you from ovulating thereby reducing your chances of getting pregnant whether you experience some vaginal spotting or bleeding. Therefore, you should not have " a greater chance of pregnancy" .

Normal on Implanon: Irregular periods are the norm on implanon. Everyone will be irregular.  Many patients have no periods at all. Others will experience irregular menstrual bleeding. This is how it works. If you are not satisfied with the bleeding pattern on Implanon then consider using a different birth control method but understand that the bleeding does not mean something is wrong or that it is not working.

Still accurate: Implanon should not affect the results of a pregnancy test.

Could be....: But not likely.  The failure rate of Implanon is less than 1%.  Do an EPT and if it's negative, don't worry.

Implanon: Implanon is a three year device and contraception limited to that time. As the hormone is absorbed into your blood directly, not through intestines, medications should not effect it. You should see your doctor.

i  removed my implanon in dec 17 which was due in oct 17,have been trying for a baby since,i took a pregnancy test, results negative but m 7 days late.what could the cause be?

Irregular cycle: Some patience will help. Fertility depends on several factors both male and female. It is not unusual for an occasional cycle to be irregular, however, if the irregularity continues , you may need a work up. Meanwhile, make sure you are on prenatal vitamins, your body weight is ideal, and that you do not smoke, you may consume alcohol very sparingly and definitely none once pregnant. Best Wishes!
