NO: Unless you or your partner has the virus then the act of anal sex has nothing to do with contracting Hepatitis.

Tricky w/out an exam: really doubtful for an std, but that is still at least possible. On the other hand, dilation of the normal veins around that area (HEMORRHOIDS) are extremely common. Not very common to be CAUSED by anal sex, but everyone having anal sex will notice hemmorrhoids that are there even if they never noticed them before.

Sexuality: Yes. Of course. But, one does not go to the doctor to learn how to have sex. There some very good and appropriate ethics about this.

In my practice i often recommend that sexually active adults get a guide book to sex.  Or get two. It is okay to explore and experiment with a willing partner.  I often have patients start with "the joy of sex". Here the norms are explained.

Sounds traumatic: An anal fissure is like a "paper cut" in the lining of the anal canal. Like a paper cut, it can reopen when traumatized (as when anal sex stretches the canal) and as such will immediately and really hurt.  Other possible injuries to the canal: muscle tear, hematoma, abrasion...You get the idea.

Think: If both men don't have HIV then no transmission. However as you know there are other STDS and there is a window of time from exposure to HIV to HIV showing up positive in the lab tests. Possible causes: I agree a rectal exam with your doctor will be necessary to properly diagnose and treat the cause of your itching.Causes of this can be eczema, yeast infections,hemorrhoids,improper cleansing of the area after bowel movements,a bacterial infection, sexually transmitted diseases,and yes, possibly irritation secondary to anal sex.See your doctor, best of luck!

Time of injury: It takes 3-4 days for the inflammation of an injury to peak.
It could also be that these are unrelated events.

Definitely: I can not condone anal sex, especially in view of the surgical repair you have had. Severe trauma could occur including recurrence or worse, loss of control to variable degrees or infection by some nasty diseases. The anus was designed as an exit not an entrance.
