Contraception: If there is no ovulation, there will not be conception.  If unprotected sex leads to sperm present in the uterus/fallopian tube, ovulation could lead to conception, for a very small window of opportunity.  At that point, contraception would not help.  Most people are not aware of ovulation.

"Grist for grinding": It is unlikely that the pre cum entered the vagina when you did not. However, an entry "permit" does not always prevent pregnancy under these circumstances, if pre cum or ejaculate is deposited "next door to the vagina". Avoid becoming 'grist for the mill"(unintended pregnancy) by using contraception at all times and your daily "grind" won't be fraught with complications.

Possibly: Most studies have shown low levels of sperm or no sperm in pre-ejaculate with sperm not being motile (however, don't know how promptly samples were examined). : Precum does no contain sperm but any secretions from the excited male penis may contain some sperm &amp; amount will vary. The main ejaculate has more sperm by numbers per ml of fluid. Risk of pregnancy from brief contact is small but not zero. Emergency contraceptive if taken within 48-72 hrs is usually effective in stopping pregnancy.

Possible: Any material from an excited male penis can get you pregnant. It is more likely at certain points of the cycle, and with a full "load" rather than small amount. It really only takes one sperm do do the deed. Time to invest in stronger condoms.

Levonorgestrel Rx: Levonorgestrel is used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse. However this drug will not prevent the spread HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. It is very effective if taken as soon  as possible within 72 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse. It should not be used to prevent pregnancy on a regular basis.

See below: Chances of getting pregnant certainly are much greater if ejaculation occurred, especially if around your mid-cycle "fertile window" with ovulation. Also, sometimes men ejaculate semen/sperm without being aware of it. As for "pre-cum", in some men it has been shown to contain viable sperm and, even though in smaller concentrations than in a normal ejaculate, the potential for impregnation exists.
