It's potentially: extremely variable and individualistic; there is no amount you "should" produce, but total lack of vaginal secretion is more of a symptomatic problem than still producing secretions. If you're concerned, check w/your GYN..

Vaginal estrogen: Works very well, it is low dose and if you do not have any contraindications , it is very safe to use, the vast majority of it stays in heh vagina, and just a small amount gets into your circulation. There are 2 types of creams and 1 vaginal pill and a vaginal ring. In most of my patients i prefer using Estrace (estradiol) cream.

Estrogens: You very well may need a cream from Estrogens that you put in your vagina to help the skin and tissue there to be softer and less painful.

Several: There are several different causes including a growth such as a polyp on the cervix or in the uterus, taking hormones, lining of the uterus that needs to shed, abnormal cells on the cervix or in the lining of the uterus, for example. The cause needs to be identified. Please see your doctor.

Clear or white: The normal vaginal discharge is clear or white. After menopause there may be less vaginal discharge due to the lower estrogen levels.  Green, gray, or yellow discharge likely means an overgrowth of bacteria, while a lumpy (cottage cheese) discharge is common with a yeast infection.  Red, pink, black, or brown discharge is associated with blood and is never normal after menopause.

Various reasons: Postmenopausal spotting or bleeding can occur for a variety of reasons.  It could be as simple as a vaginal infection (yeast or bacterial), a bladder infection, or an std.  It could also be as severe as a vaginal, cervical, or uterine cancer.  Either way, post menopausal bleeding is never normal and you should see your physician for a definitive diagnosis.

Possibly: Menopausal changes can cause change in vaginal bacterial flora which could produce odor.

Vaginal sloughing?: The vaginas in post menopausal women can lose some ability to stretch as estrogen declines. The vaginal surface then "thins" as the surrounding vaginal musculature contracts around it. I am not sure what you mean by the term "vaginal sloughing" as the vaginal lining does not "slough" off except some brief  cell losses with intercourse which regenerate.

Menstruation: Periods vary widely from woman to woman. Some periods are punctual, some are unpredictable. See your doctor who may prescribe you oral contraceptives to regulate your menstrual period.  Also, do a home pregnancy test.
