i failed popping my cystic pimple. now it's still got puss, and it's inflamed and purple. is there a way of treating this at home?

Cystic acne: Popping pimples/cysts not a good idea: can drive infection deeper. Warm-hot compresses can draw cyst to head so it opens on its own & drains. But best treatment is to see dermatologist for definitive care of acne: topical meds + oral antibiotics; possibly accutane-like product if condition is severe. Should also be checked for polycystic ovarian ds by doc.

See a dermatologist: The acne cyst can be injected with kenalog (triamcinolone) which should help shrink it.  Usually trying to pop a pimple creates more inflammation and pain.  Your dermatologist may also want to determine if there is any infection there.

Pimple: Acne and cysts especially on the face should be left to the dermatologists . It sounds like a cyst that is now inflamed. Leave it be a apply warm wet compresses and go see your doctor. You might need antibiotics.

Epidermal cyst: Probably a small epidermal cyst, which may have ruptured, causing inflammation, or it may be infected (because you tried to pop it). Either way, you should let your doctor or a dermatologist look at it, to determine if it should be drained and/or removed.

warm soaks
exfoliate with an otc wash
benzoyl peroxide ointments may help as well you can fond 10% over the counter as well

Infection : It can vary depending upon secondary infection. Additional medication may be required for the infection
