: No, that likely happens due to the needle position inside your vein (a technical issue), not having anything to do with your blood. Good luck.

Numbers are numbers: Numbers are numbers, with little meaning unless a doctor sees the patient's whole picture. That said, 104 and 5.8% are in the pre-diabetes range. That may mean one's pancreas does not make enough insulin and/or one's insulin does not work properly anymore. Such a person's primary care doctor can advise on how people prevent reaching the diabetes stage, for example:  losing 7% of one's weight, etc.

Hypothyroid: It is very noble of you to donate plasma but it would be wise unless you and your doctor are perfectly sure that your thyroid levels are normal 24 hours a day.

if benadryl's plasma clearance is about 9 hours x 5, how long would it remain active to affect the brain and interact with other medications?

Less than 12 hrs: It may take a long time for a drug to completely clear from the body, the biochemical effect occurs only with a certain blood level.  I have yet seen anyone getting drowsy from Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for more than 12 hours. It is the drug level that matters.

Plasma Donor &amp; Meds: In almost all cases, medications will not disqualify you as a blood donor. Your eligibility will be based on the reason that the medication was prescribed. As long as the condition is under control and you are healthy, blood donation is usually permitted.

hgb 15.3 rbc 5.62 hct 47.3 mcv 84 mch 27.2 mchc 32.3 plasma ferritin 88. wbc 7.7 medication lexapro, atrovastatin, pregabalin and tamsulosin. levels have dropped since last blood test. am i anemic? or is there something else thank you?

: Your bloodwork appears normal, not consistent with anemia. Slight variation in such values is to be expected and repeating blood work should clarify.  Your current doc remains best to place in context as it seems that you have different conditions being treated as well.

what could cause low plasma cortisol, low plasma potassium, with nausea, muscle weakness, fatigue, lightheaded, vertigo. not taking any medications. thank you?

: I would suspect that cortisol was measured at the wrong time or that you are taking(perhaps unknowingly in a supplement) a steroid that does not show up as cortisol in the assay and that steroid is causing the low K.  Salivary cortisol measurements may be better. Recommend you spend $20 for 1 week access to uptodate.com and explore the causes in detail then discuss with your team.

Don't Use Pet Flea: Products on yourself  humans usually use 1% topical Hydrocortisone which usually isn't problematic. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or other antihistamines can be taken orally for itching - and this may lead to sedation.

Vasodilator: Dipyridamole is a vasodilator -- that means it dilates and relaxes the blood vessel through its indirect action on the vessel smooth muscle.  In the past, it has been used for chest pain and cardioprotection -- but these days it has gone by the wayside because of the extensive use of nitroglycerin.  It is still used in combination with Aspirin for stroke prevention.
