Cough: You can strain the muscles, between your ribs with intense coughing.  Try an anti-inflammatory for the discomfort.  It usually gets better with time.  Rarely, however, rib fractures can be seen, but the pain would be considerable.

Back pain from cough: Your lungs fill your chest cavity .When you cough, you take  a deep breath in, then the vocal cords close.  This causes a rapid increase in pressure within the chest cavity by contracting the muscles between the ribs and the diaphragm muscles. Then the vocal cords open to let the air out rapidly.  The high pressure in the chest as well as the contraction of the muscles cause the back pain.

Cough: In general, a symptom of coughing can first be addressed by over the counter measures. Cough specific syrups or tablets are readily available. Decongestant medicines can help if the cough is related to sinus drainage. Giving the cough ample time to clear is advisable but if you develop fevers, shortness of breath, chest pains, or bloody sputum, it may be time to see your doctor.

Need more info: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor to make sure that you do not have strep throat that requires antibiotic treatment.

Back pain: Back pain that is of concern, needing emergent or urgent care, if associated with neurological deficit. Factors that are of concern too include: fever, weight loss, steroid use. Troubles urinating or having a bowel movement.  Being overweight makes back problems more likely. Weight loss, and back exercises are helpful to relieve and eliminate chronic back problems.

Musculoskeletal....: The discomfort you describe is likely musculoskeletal pain. The chest wall has bones, muscles, cartilage all of which is subject to muscle strain/sprain, cartilage inflammation and even rib bruise or fracture from excessive coughing. Once the cough is controlled, the musculoskeletal disorder(s) will also be controlled. So, see your doctor for diagnosis/treatment of the cough.

Neuritis: Pain in the lower abdomen that is exacerbated by coughing or lifting is commonly an abdominal wall neuritis and not usually the ovary (unless it is quite enlarged).  Try a heating pad and if the pain improves even a little while the heat is on this means it is fairly superficial pain and not deep down in the area of your bowels or ovary.  Neuritis pain will resume after heat pad removed

Yes: you can strain a muscle or even break a rib coughing. Sometimes you can have pain related to pneumonia as well though so if pain is significant it may be a good idea of have a chest x-ray taken.
